6.4 Battery Removal/Replacement
Disconnect AC power and battery before proceeding.
Removal:
1. Disconnect battery cable from terminals.
2. Depress the right battery retaining bracket, simultaneously lift battery free of retaining clip.
3. Slide battery up and right to clear the left retaining clip.
4. Dispose of battery in accordance with local regulations.
Replacement:
1. Remove terminal protection from battery.
2. Install battery cable on spade lug terminals
.
Ensure red cable is connected to the (+) terminal and black cable is connected to the (-) terminal.
3. Slide left side of battery under left battery retaining bracket.
4. Insert slot screwdriver between battery and right retaining bracket. Lever right retaining bracket to right while pressing battery firmly in place.
5. If required, route battery cable through wire guides and connect to PC9155 terminal board.
Trouble [5] Device Fault
Press [5] to determine specific devices with a fault trouble
1st press - Zone Faults
2nd press - Keypad Faults
Hard-wired zone fault condition present.
Short circuit is present on one or more zones
with double end-of-line resistors enabled.
• Ensure fire zones have 5.6K resistor (Green, Blue, Red) connected.
• Remove wire leads from I/O and AUX- terminals and measure
resistance of the wire leads.
• Connect 5.6K resistor (Green, Blue, Red) across I/O and AUX- ter-
minals. Verify the trouble condition clears.
3rd press - Siren Faults One or more wireless devices have not
checked in within the programmed time.
• Perform a wireless device placement test – verify the wireless
device and the alarm panel are in good locations.
• During the test, the yellow LED on the alarm panel should be
OFF. This indicates the panel is located in an area of low inter-
ference. If the Yellow LED is ON, check for sources of interfer-
ence and eliminate if possible or reposition the panel.
• If “bad” results occur when testing wireless devices, test the
device in another location.
• Replace wireless device if test results are continually “bad.”
Trouble [6] Device Tamper Press [6] to determine specific zones with a tamper trouble

An open circuit is present on one or more
zones with double end-of-line resistors
enabled.
A tamper condition is present on one or more
wireless devices.
• Remove wire leads from I/O and AUX- terminals and measure
resistance of the wire leads.
• Connect 5.6K resistor (Green, Blue, Red) across I/O and AUX- .
• Verify the trouble condition clears.
• Ensure device cover is secure.
• Ensure device is correctly mounted for wall tamper operation, vio-
late, then restore the tamper.
• If tamper condition persists then replace wireless device.
Trouble [7] Wireless Device Low Battery Press [7] to scroll through specific devices with a Low Battery Trouble
1st press - Wireless Zones
2nd press - Wireless Keys
3rd press -
Wireless Keypads
4th press - Wireless Sirens
5th press - Proximity Tags
One or more wireless devices has a low
battery.
NOTE: The event is not logged to the event
buffer until the wireless device low battery
delay time expires.
Program section [377].
Replace Battery
• Verify zone operation.
• Verify tamper and low battery condition is cleared and reported.
Flashing Trouble LED on keypad indicates low battery. To deter-
mine which indoor siren is in low battery, press the Test button. If
no test indications are sounded, replace batteries.
To determine which outdoor siren is in low battery, remove and
reconnect battery. If the strobe does not flash, replace battery.
If a proximity tag is in low battery, the tag must be deleted and
replaced before the trouble is cleared from [
4
][2].
NOTE: Replacing batteries will cause a tamper condition. Putting
the cover back on will clear the tamper causing the associated
reporting codes to be sent to the central station.
Trouble [8] Loss of Clock
Loss of Time & Date The main panel internal clock is not set. To program the time and date:
•Enter [

][6][Master Code] then press [1].
• Enter the time and date (in military) using the following format:
HH:MM MM/DD/YY
e.g., For 6:00 pm, Nov. 30, 2010, enter: [18] [00] [11] [30] [10]
